JETRO Kuala Lumpur × FunNow [Information on Japanese Wagyu promotion at FunNow]
JETRO Kuala Lumpur cooperates with FunNow, the largest high-end restaurant and hospitality reservation service provider in this region, and conduct Japanese Wagyu diffusion project.
In addition to those who have already had outlet in FunNow, we are looking forward to that those who is interested in registering stores in FunNow join in this project.
Contents of Program
Promotion of Japanese Wagyu restaurants in Malaysia under a collaboration with the restaurant reservation service, FunNow, as well as support services for the restaurants to register their outlets on the FunNow platform. For details, please refer to application guideline.
1.Content of promotion support
Opening a special page exclusively for Japanese Wagyu restaurants,
issuing promotion code by FunNow, influencer marketing such as making a post on SNS by influencer.
2.Special package for new registrants
“JETRO Special Package for New Registration” is offered to companies that are new registrants on FunNow. Special package applies for special commission rate of 10% (Normal rate 15%-20%) and includes free photo service of the dish.
In addition, JETRO will guide the companies through the procedure of listing as FunNow outlets.
3.Support on partial listing cost at FunNow
JETRO Kuala Lumpur will bear listing cost of participating companies being listed as FunNow outlets during promotion term.
** When listing cost of participating companies is over RM24,000, this support is finished. After finishing this support, as for listing cost fee, FunNow charge it to each restaurant with a rate of 6% until 15th Jan 2022 and after 16 Jan 2022, revert back to contract rate on the contract between FunNow and participants.

Up to 20 outlets
**1 company can register up to 5 companies for this project.
** If number of participants is under 5 outlets, there is possibility to cancel project.
** In principle, it will be on a first-come basis. However, in order to that many more companies participate, if participants register multiple outlets, JETRO may give priority to the company that registered one store at a later date regardless of the order of application. JETRO will notice to participant that register multiple outlets that whether the second outlet and the more can participate in this project or not by mid-October.
Condition of participation
The seven points mentioned below are the participation conditions and participants need to meet all conditions
① Registered or planning to register on FunNow or having outlet on FunNow.
②Being Japanese restaurant in Malaysia and a “supporter of Japanese food ingredients overseas”.
③Dish sold in FunNow during this project need to include Japanese Wagyu.
④Putting POP tool for promotion prepared by JETRO on outlet.
⑤Willing to cooperate with project report during and after the project.
⑥Joining in project while definitely complying with SOP of Malaysian government under each participant’s responsibility.

Mid-October: Notification of participation confirmation to participating companies
Mid-October to mid-November: Registration period at FunNow for new companies
Late-November: Send out promotional materials to participating companies
December 1st to January 15th: Promotion term
Late-January: Submission of sales data and purchase amount of Japanese Wagyu to JETRO
