possibility of collaboration with Japanese companies




Malaysia Fintech Industry

With strong government initiative for the digital economy, Malaysia is well scalable to take advantage of fintech innovation. In addition, Malaysia boasts a digital wallet usage rate of 40%, which is highest ratio in ASEAN. Payment and the Malaysia central bank is set to issue its first digital banking licenses in early 2022. 


In first part of the seminar, Fintech Association of Malaysia (FAOM) and MDEC gave introduction speeches about Malaysian fintech landscape, government initiatives, digital adoption, key expected outcomes and potential areas of collaboration with Japanese technology partner.

In second part, two Malaysian companies (Capbay & Juristech) were invited as presenters to give their pitching about solutions provided by each company and the possibility of collaboration with Japanese companies.




Malaysia Agritech Field

      Agriculture is one of the most important sectors in Malaysia, contributing 7.1% (RM101.5 billion) to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2019. Several initiatives have been undertaken by public and private sectors in Malaysia to drive the growth of Agri- tech through funding startups with Agri-tech solutions, providing micro-financing schemes for farmers to adopt Agri-tech, and more.

      In first part of the seminar, MDEC gave introduction speeches about Malaysian agriculture landscape, problem statements, digital adoption requirements, key expected outcomes and potential areas of collaboration with Japanese technology partners to catalyse Digital Agri-tech adoption.

      In second part, two Malaysian companies (Redtone & Wondernica) were invited as a presenter to give a pitching about the solutions provided by each company and the possibility of collaboration with Japanese companies.

 


 

An Insight into Malaysia Logistic Market Latest Trend

In first part of the seminar, MDEC and Gobi partners gave introduction speeches about government policy, market trend, Malaysia advantage in sight from foreign capital VC and possible collaboration between Japan and Malaysia.

In second part, we focused on the logistics field. Two Malaysian companies in that field were invited as presenters to give their pitching about the solutions provided by each company and the possibility of collaboration with Japanese companies.
