Program:

Part 1: GO_KOBE program “The Next Kitchen 2023”

The Next Kitchen 2023 is a 1-month mentoring and matching program designed for European-based food tech startups that aim to expand their impact in Japan, starting in Kobe, the city of Gastronomy.

The program is part of Japanese government initiatives organized by JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), Hyogo Prefecture and Kobe City. In collaboration with Factory and CROSSBIE (Japan-Europe Accelerator), we are here to connect European startups and leading Japanese corporations to create sustainable food solutions.

Whether that's an alternative way of eating, making our food habits healthier, creating a better cycle, or improving the whole system & logistics, we believe that we can shape the future of food by bringing us together.

Part 2: Meet-up Event of Impact Startups “Innovating the Future”

Hyogo Prefecture and Kobe City also launched the “SDGs CHALLENGE” startup support program last year in 2021, intending to create a better environment and industry for the next generation.

This program supports startups aiming to solve the world’s SDGs issues by providing acceleration programs, mentoring, and networking to support their business development and overseas expansion.

In this part, 4 selected startups from Japan will pitch their businesses for 2 minutes to the Berlin community and 3 SDGs startups from Berlin will demonstrate the solutions they have built.

At this event, attendees will:

- Learn about The Next Kitchen 2023 program and how this concept is key to Hyogo-Kobe's sustainability focus

- Meet organizer team from The Next Kitchen 2023 and hear about their innovation priorities

- Hear pitches from 4 SDGs startups from Japan and 3 SDGs startups from Berlin

- Network with SDGs entrepreneurs, ecosystem builders, growth experts, and other Japanese stakeholders
