"Entrepreneurship and Growth. Startups and their Ecosystems in Japan and Germany" - 30 Years DJW!

In Japan and Germany, a new generation of enterprises is on the rise: innovative startup companies with high growth potential create an emerging sector in our highly industrialized, knowledge-based economies.

With our symposium, we would like to analyse the respective ecosystems for entrepreneurship as well as to provide background information on the legal, financial and political parameters in Japan and Germany. We also want to discuss if bilateral projects could be a strategy to accelerate innovation and thus enhance economic growth and strengthen the position of Japan and Germany in the world economy.

Among others, we are proud to welcome as speakers:

Bastian Gerhard, Head of Innovation & Enablement, Zalando SE

Erik Heinelt, International Affairs & E-Commerce, The German Startups Association e.V.
