| Summay of notice | ⑴ Classification of the products to be procured : 24 ⑵ Nature and quantity of the products to be purchased : Cryogenic Transmission Electron Microscope 1 Set ⑶ Type of the procurement : Purchase ⑷ Basic requirements of the procurement : ① A cryogenic transmission electron microscope. A It should be equipped with a cold field emission gun, which produces a highly coherent electron beam. The energy spread is supposed to be less than 0.4 eV without using a monochromator. B The accelerating voltage should be higher than 300 kV. C The specimen can be tilted more than ±70°and the automated specimen exchange system should be equipped. It must be able to contain up to 12 grids at the same time. D The energy of electrons contributing to images and diffraction patterns should be selected by using an in-column type energy filter. E The microscope should have the phase plate system to enhance the small-angle scattered electron image contrast. F The system should contain a highly sensitive direct electron detector for image recording. It has 24 megapixels (5,760 × 4,092) field of view and the readout speed of 1,500 full frames per second. It should also have a tough camera for electron beam irradiation suitable for recording diffraction patterns with more than 4k × 4k pixels. ② A vacuum evaporator This is needed to prepare amorphous carbon layer for grid preparation. A The evacuation should be done by a turbomolecular pump and reachable vacuum degree should be higher than 1 × 10 Pa. ③ A glow discharger This is needed to hydrophilize the surface of the grid for grid preparation. A The size of the electrostatic shield electrode should be larger than 50 mm in its diameter. ④ An automated grid plunging device This is needed to perform plunge-freezing for vitrification of specimens. A The temperature of the specimen chamber should be controllable at the range from 4 ℃ to 60 ℃. B The container should keep 1ℓ liquid nitrogen for one hour. ⑸ Time limit for the submission of the requested material : 17 : 00 6 August, 2026 ⑹ Contact point for the notice : Hiroaki Kawamura, Procurement Services Office, Finance Department, Tohoku University, 2-1-1 Katahira Aoba-ku Sendai-shi 980-8577 Japan TEL 022-217-4869 |
