| Summay of notice | ⑴ Classification of the products to be procured : 14 ⑵ Nature and quantity of the products to be rent : Computer System for RIAM, Kyushu University 1 Set ⑶ Type of the procurement : Rent ⑷ Basic requirements of the procurement : A The new system must be a compound distributed system consisting of a high performance/parallel computing server, an user front-end server, a file server, a network attached server for backup, a mail/WWW server, an application server, an operation/management server, a system monitoring server, network infrastructure (firewall appliance, layer 3 switch, layer 2 switch and so on), a 42-inch large format printer and a digital signage system. B The high performance/parallel computing server must be space-saving and power-saving computer. The assets of current programs should run faster and their migrations must be easy. C The user front-end server must be equipped with the environment of program developments and the batch job submitting utility for the high performance/parallel computing server. D The effective capacity of the file server must be more than 600TB. It is connected with the network attached storage for automatic backup. The total effective capacity of the file server and the network attached storage for backup must be more than 600TB. E The mail/WWW server must be equipped with virus check utility and anti-spam utility, and be taken care of security. Licenses and version-up supports are ensured during the rental period. F The application server must be equipped with software for data analysis, technical scientific computing of numerical results with licenses and version-up support during the rental period. G The operation/management server must be equipped with a software which can perform user account management and usage statistics management. H The system monitoring server must be equipped with a function to monitor the operation of the server/storage and detect the failure or abnormality of the hardware. I The servers described in D through H can be a dedicated server system or a virtual server system running on cloud computing system. J The network system consists of infrastructure equipments including firewall appliance, layer 3 switch, layer 2 switch and SSL-VPN appliance, which are all connected with WAN and intranet. K The 42-inch large format printer must support the postscript. The printer allows connection with the network. The printer must record the printing log history of the printer. L The digital signage system must provide a large display device showing research achievement and related publicity of the institute. M The hardware of this system must be highly reliable. The supplier must provide stable maintenance and support services. N General security measures must be proposed.
