⑶ Type of the procurement : purchase
⑷ Basic requirements of the procurement : AI Bridging Cloud Infrastructure for developing real-world foundation models, hereinafter called "Shin-ABCI", consists of ⑴ High Performance Computing System, ⑵ Large Capacity Storage System, ⑶ Interconnects for Computation, Service, and External connection, and ⑷ advanced cooling and power supplies, and ⑸ software stacks for utilizing the system to the maximum. The followings are the summary of the requirements for the specification of Shin-ABCI :
A.High Performance Computing System must have more than 4.2 E AI-FLOPS of theoretical peak performance in at least half precision of IEEE 754-2008 floating point.
B.High Performance Computing System must have high-speed memory directly connected to acceleration processors, where the total memory capacity is more than 345TB, and the total peak memory bandwidth is more than 14.4PB/s.
C.Large Capacity Storage System must have more than 50PB of total effective capacity with scalable, high speed, high reliability performance and the standard access interface. The storage system must be available to all compute nodes of High Performance Computing System.
D.Interconnect for Computation must connect High Performance Computing System and Large Capacity Storage System with more than 400Gbps. Bisection bandwidth of the network must be as higher as possible. Effective bandwidths between compute nodes and between compute nodes and Large Capacity Storage System must have more than 400Gbps.
E.Interconnect for Service must connect High Performance Computing System, Large Capacity Storage System, and External Connection.
F.Shin-ABCI must have advanced cooling and power supplies enough to operate at less than 5,000kW of maximum power consumption.
G.Shin-ABCI must have software stacks for making the optimal use of the system for advanced cloud operations, acceleration and enhancement of AI computations, and utilization of Big Data.
