Application Requirements (Prerequisites)

1. Has an established organizational structure and capabilities to properly manage and deliver a startup acceleration program.

2. Has a strong global network and expertise relevant to bio manufacturing / industrial biotechnology startups.

3. Has broad experience managing global startup acceleration programs.

4. Has strong relationships with top-tier venture capital firms, corporate partners, pilot-scale facilities, CDMOs and relevant ecosystem stakeholders.

5. Can provide mentors with expertise in food-tech, agri-tech, new materials, sustainable manufacturing, industrial biotech and related sectors.

6. Can conduct regular reporting and communication with JETRO.

7. Has measures and systems for handling confidential and personal information appropriately.

8. Can comply with applicable laws and regulations, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

9. The applicant must not have been subject to suspension by the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry in the past.
