The Expo

JETRO is going to attend the 2020 BETT, British Educational Training and Technology Show, held from the 22nd to the 25th January. At the event, 10 Japanese companies with the latest teaching techniques/technologies, including several start-ups, will be looking to engage with organizations who have new innovative solutions and create new business opportunities in the emerging market of education. JETRO shall be on hand throughout the event to facilitate and support these interactions.

What is BETT?

BETT is an annual event where over 800 EdTech providers and 300 industry speakers come to showcase the latest and essential tools for academia across 4 days. It is the world’s largest Education Technology show with more than 34 000 attendees representing 146 different countries.

With the ever-increasing advancements in AI and Robotics Engaged offer services for the Education and Business sectors. Providing next generation career and corporate education. Creating “1 from zero” they provide a scheme to equip learners with the “skills required for future society.“

GP League general corporate association (22nd-23rd January 2020)

Organiser of “GP League”, a competition focusing on coding for young learners. The competition gives young learners a chance to develop their talents so that they can play an active role in the world.

 SoroTouch (Digika Co.,Ltd.) (22nd-23rd January 2020)

Designed "SoroTouch"  which is an app that teaches the abacus-based method for mental calculation. Arithmetic is the universal language and calculation is the gateway to it. Winners of several awards such as the Grand prize award in Japan e-Learning 2017, they aim to build confidence in Maths and Science, the universal languages.

Benesse Corporation (22nd-23rd January 2020)

Renowned Japanese educational company which offer services to aid every stage in life with a focus on  education in Japan, starting from pre-school to secondary school and some working adults. They aim to provide educational services tailored to each learning style, prioritising the fun of learning and joy of self-development.

Sportip, Inc. (22nd-23rd January 2020)

Physical education mostly relies on personal experience and understanding, but through this app users can maximise their potential. Through one to one coaching, users receive guidance relevant to the individual’s physical characteristics and can reflect upon the data. Allowing users to develop physically in areas that are relevant to their needs.

atama plus (24th-25th January 2020)

Develop and provide an artificial intelligent learning system called "atama+" for students, which brings new learning experiences for the next generation. Their innovative A.I. enables them to provide highly personalized programs far more adequate for individual students who all have different needs and goals.

Toyput Inc (24th-25th January 2020)

A next generation third party platform who help children create artistic pieces. With works such as Tokyo park art and Tokyo Creative.  To connect the family and provide social problem solutions.

codeTakt Co., Ltd. (24th-25th January 2020)

Creates and provides learning management systems to be used in educational institutions and corporations. Their philosophy is to pursue innovation in education and art through the power of IT, and nurture sensibility and zest for life. Adopted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Japan, as one of the leading educational systems.

Hanamaru Lab inc. (24th-25th January 2020)

Developing and offering educational contents for children such as apps and workbooks, whilst also operating private after schools for children. They aim to improve children’s critical thinking and problem solving ability. They offer questions asked in Global Math Challenge and were nominated finalists of the google play awards 2017. 

SuRaLa Net Co.,Ltd. (24th-25th January 2020)

Aim to deliver a chance to have personalised education for children who are less fortunate than others.  Which will give children a “true academic ability that is used even as an adult” and “confidence that if you make an effort you will get results”. They are offering their services not only in Japan but also in countries such as Sri Lanka, Indonesia and India.
