Symposium Overview

High speed rail has the everlasting power to not only boost the economy but also change people’s lifestyles; and even transform society. The Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High-Speed Rail project; which has been attracting global attention will be vital importance for the people, society and economy of Malaysia. Completion of the project will bring a golden opportunity for Malaysia to receive various benefits.

At the symposium, leaders from around the world highlighted how harness the potential of high-speed rail to realize social innovation and economic uplift leads to create a new society.

The symposium demonstrated how the Shinkansen; Japanese high-speed rail can contribute to the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore High-Speed Rail project with its 52 years of experiences.
