Automotive Engineering Exposition 2011

JETRO had organized the final Malaysia-Japan Automotive Industry Cooperation (MAJAICO) F-3 Project in collaboration with MATRADE from 16 to 21 May 2011 in Yokohama, Japan

From 16th to 21st May 2011, JETRO with the collaboration with MATRADE had organized the fifth and final year for Malaysia Auto Industry Exhibition in Japan under Malaysia Japan Automotive Industry cooperation (MAJAICO) program. This was the 2nd consecutive year for JETRO to participate in Automotive Engineering Exposition (AEE) in Yokohama compared to the lats 3 years participation at IAAE 2007, 2008 & 2009.

AEE is a more challenging exhibition which focused on high and latest technology concept like electric and hybrid cars etc. AEE this year, was scheduled from 18 to 20 May 2011 and had been held at Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition Hall, Yokohama, Japan.

Malaysia Auto Industry Exhibition in AEE was an initial step to developing and strengthening ties between Malaysia auto-part makers with Japanese auto-part makers, hopefully, to stimulate interest among Japanese auto-part makers on Malaysia’s automotive industries.

As before, JETRO had exhibited Proton concept car “TUAH” as the main attraction together with 10 other auto-part makers.

“Automotive Engineering Exposition 2011” (second participation)

Objectives
(1) Raise awareness in the Japanese automotive industry, displaying Malaysian automobile and parts in Japan as a part of the Malaysia-Japan Automotive Industry Cooperation (MAJAICO project F3) included in the Japan-Malaysia Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA; went into effect on July 13, 2006).
(2) Provide an opportunity for business talks between Japanese and Malaysian counterpart in order to promote exports to Japan, technical tie-ups and joint ventures.
