Automotive Engineering Exposition 2010

For the past 3 years (FY2006 – FY2008), the exhibition was executed as Fair in Fair style in the IAAE that was focusing more on aftermarket. During the MAJAICO Summit meeting in Kuala Lumpur on March 2009, MATRADE proposed to change the exhibition to OEM related exhibition. Their proposal was also supported by the following factors:

I. Initial MAJAICO objective was to support OEM manufacturers.
II. Small number of visitors to IAAE that minimize the business opportunity.

As a result, the exhibition was changed to “Automotive Engineering Exposition” or “AEE” to replace IAAE. It is OEM oriented and focusing more on the new technologies. The AEE was held in Pacifico Yokohama Exhibition Hall, in Yokohama from 19th May to 21st May 2010. 9 companies including Proton participated in “Malaysia Automotive Industry (MAI)” pavilion at the exhibition.
