Food Business Meeting in Hokkaido

JETRO is planning to host a business meeting to promote exports of safe, wholesome high-quality Hokkaido food products. The details are described below. We hope you will make time in your busy schedule for your company to participate in this business event.

Purpose and Details

Opportunities to expand exports of high-quality Japanese agricultural and seafood products and foods have increased in recent years as the result of a worldwide Japanese food boom, the trend in demands for food safety and the economic development of Asian countries. Hokkaido in particular has always been the home of safe, worry-free primary food products and offers numerous attractive foods and beverages, including processed foods that use such products as a key ingredient.



Based on these superior characteristics, JETRO Hokkaido will invite related businesses handling Japanese food products in nearby Asian countries (wholesale firms, retail companies and restaurants) and provide a venue for business meeting with producers and food product companies seeking to develop overseas marketing and sales channels. This business meeting will be sponsored in conjunction with Hokkaido products.



Exchange Business Meeting in Hokkaido, Hokkaido’s largest food trade business event is held in Sapporo every year in June. The meeting will enable participants to view various products from throughout Hokkaido during a single visit.
