Why Businesses are Choosing the U.S. - The Auto Industry Eyes the Southeast -

The United States is the world’s largest foreign direct investment (FDI) recipient. While promoting domestic production, an event gathered many investors from abroad was held in Washington, D.C. This event caught attention of attendees about U.S.’s continuous booming market. Today, there is a region attracting as a new destination for the automobile industry. One of those states is Alabama where Japanese automakers are now building a new factory and also the place is considered the production and lifestyle-related costs relatively lower compared to other regions. The neighboring state that is Georgia whose well-developed logistics infrastructure, such as ports for instance, and an educational program of local personnel to support new investors are prepared. We interviewed the impression of Japanese companies that have already expanded into the market and those that are considering expanding see the local investment environment.
