English version of “Open for Professionals,” the portal site for utilizing highly-skilled foreign professionals in Japan, now available

Since December 25, 2018, JETRO has been operating “Open for Professionals,” a portal site to facilitate the utilization of highly skilled foreign professionals in Japan consisting of information related to policies and events by government ministries and agencies.
To encourage further utilization of the portal site, we are starting an English version of “Open for Professionals” and adding the following services and information geared toward international professionals with interest in working in Japan.

Registration of information of companies in need of foreign professionals

Companies interested in hiring foreign professionals —including international students— can now directly reach out to those professionals by registering their information in Japanese as well as English in our portal site.

Addition of related regional information

We have consolidated information on measures by local authorities to promote utilization of foreign professionals and relevant points of contact. Both companies and professionals can learn about how to take advantage of support available to them in each region.
