Meeting Between JETRO Chairman Ishiguro and Panama’s President Mulino

September 2024

On September 4, JETRO Chairman Ishiguro had a meeting with H.E. José Raúl Mulino, President of the Republic of Panama. They exchanged views on various topics, including the progress of infrastructure development projects in Panama—such as the construction of a natural gas pipeline—and potential business opportunities for Japanese companies.

That same day, the “Panama Business Seminar” was held at JETRO Headquarters to present an overview of Panama’s latest economic trends and investment environment. The event began with opening remarks delivered by President Mulino as the guest of honor, followed by a keynote speech by Minister of Commerce and Industry Julio Moltó. The seminar was attended by approximately 150 participants, including representatives from Japanese companies.
