Signing of memorandum of cooperation with Kyrgyz National Investment Agency

On Thursday, December 1, 2022, JETRO signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation in business implementation with the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The purpose of the MOU is to cooperate in the implementation of projects to expand business between Japan and Kyrgyz Republic and in the exchange of information on business and industry.

The agreement was signed by JETRO Chairman Sasaki Nobuhiko and Almaz Isanov, Director of Political and Economic Studies at the Kyrgyz Presidential Administration, in the presence of Akilbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet (Prime Minister), and Maeda Shigeki, former Japanese Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan.

- The organization was established by presidential decree on March 10, 2022, and is responsible for attracting investment, providing support to investors and developing special economic zones, along with export promotion projects.
