Strengthen Supporting Industry for both Japanese and Vietnamese companies in Vietnam

The Vietnam-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (VJEPA) was signed on 25th December 2008 and took effect from 01st October 2009. This is a comprehensive bilateral agreement that will boost trade liberalization of goods and services, economic cooperation and investment between the two countries. It has been also agreed to advance Vietnamese Supporting Industries (SI) for Japanese and Vietnamese enterprises.

Besides, SI development is one of the themes under the framework of the “Vietnam- Japan Joint Initiative”, which was launched to improve business climate in Vietnam upon the agreement by the two Prime Ministers.

In order to support for both Japanese and Vietnamese enterprises in fields of automobile, motorcycle, electric-electronic to have a chance of business exchange and products supply, JETRO Hanoi co-operates with VIETRADE to organize “Vietnam – Japan SI Exhibition” every two years.
