Annually Organize Working Level Meeting (WLM) in Japan for Asian Trade Promotion Forum (ATPF)

 

Overview

Asian Trade Promotion Forum (ATPF) is a gathering of Trade Promotion Organizations (TPOs) in the region. It was found in 1987 and initiated by JETRO, and currently has 24 country members. The objective of ATPF is to enhance trade through information exchange, implementation of cooperative projects and strengthening networks among ATPF members. CEO Meeting and Working Level Meeting are held once a year. CEO Meeting (Annual Meeting) is hosted by one member in their home country in turn, and Working Level Meeting is held in Japan prior to each year’s CEO Meeting and it is always hosted by our JETRO.

For the Working Level Meetings, JETRO Hanoi yearly invites one official of Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE) - ATPF’s member and bears the travel cost for them to participate in such meetings, which are held in Japan.

ATPF - Working Level Meeting in 2016

The 25th ATPF Working Level Meeting (WLM) was held in 3 days from 13th to 15th June 2016 in Miyazaki City of Japan. At the meeting, the member organizations discussed the issues on current activities and the future of the forum in preparation for the coming 29th ATPF CEO Meeting in Lahore in September 2016. The ATPF Exhibition Industry Committee (AEIC) was also held during the meeting.
