Anna McFarland

Executive Director, Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth

Ms. McFarland has served as the Executive Director of the Japan-America Society of Dallas/Fort Worth since 1997.

In 2015, Ms. McFarland was awarded the Foreign Minister’s Commendation on the Occasion of the 70th Anniversary of the End of the War by Japan’s Foreign Ministry in recognition of her achievements in promoting friendship between Japan and the United States.

Previously, she was Deputy Director of the festival Sun & Star 1996 and Exhibitions Coordinator at the Dallas Museum of Art. Ms. McFarland holds a B.F.A. from Southern Methodist University and a Master’s degree in the history of Asian art from the University of Michigan.
