Overview

2.     Contract Period: Contract Execution Date (August 2026) to March 31st, 2027

Application Requirements (Prerequisites)

1.     Applicant can enter into a service contract directly with JETRO for this project promptly upon receiving notification of selection.

2.     Applicant has not been subject to any suspension or debarment measures imposed by JETRO during the period from the date of the public announcement to the application submission deadline.

3.     Applicant is able to provide explanations and reports regarding accounting and other administrative matters as required by JETRO and can appropriately comply with all requirements necessary for JETRO to entrust this project to Applicant.

4.     Applicant is not an individual or organization affiliated with any organized crime group, anti-social force, or any similar entity.

Neither Applicant nor Applicant’s organization (if applicable) is subject to sanctions under the laws and regulations of Japan, the United Nations, the European Union, the United States, or the country where Applicant is located, and neither Applicant nor Applicant’s organization is controlled by any sanctioned person or entity.

Applicant is not affiliated with any sanctioned person or entity and have no economic relationship with any sanctioned person or entity.

Applicant will promptly notify JETRO if there is any risk that Applicant may no longer satisfy the eligibility requirements stated in this application.

5.     Applicant’s professional expertise is relevant to the expertise required for this project. 

6.     Applicant is able to provide all services described in the Scope of Work. 

7.     Applicant is able to conduct project-related work in both Japanese and English, in a manner consistent with the objectives of this project.

8.     Applicant’s principal place of residence is located in the target country/region or in a nearby location from which Applicant can effectively perform the required duties. 

9.     Applicant’s principal business location (or primary workplace, if affiliated with an organization) is located in the target country/region or in a nearby location from which Applicant can effectively perform the required duties. 

10.   If Applicant is affiliated with an organization, Applicant have obtained, or will be able to obtain, Applicant’s organization's approval to perform the services required under this project. 
Not applicable to sole proprietors/self-employed applicants. 

11.   Neither Applicant nor Applicant’s affiliated organization (if applicable) has been subject to criminal penalties, ongoing criminal proceedings, or significant civil disputes in the past. 

12.   If Applicant have previously contracted with JETRO under this or other JETRO projects, Applicant have not caused any serious problems relating to advisory services, professional conduct, administrative procedures, or reporting obligations during the contract period. 

13.   Applicant possesses the computer skills necessary to perform the work, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail, and is able to participate in online meetings using platforms such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.

Applicant is able to implement appropriate information security measures required by JETRO, including the use of antivirus software and proper information management practices.

14.   Applicant maintains up-to-date professional networks in the target country/region and can utilize those networks to support the overseas business development of Japanese companies. 

15.   Applicant is highly motivated to proactively respond to inquiries from Japanese companies and to support them in achieving export sales and establishing overseas operations. 

16.   Applicant is able to communicate effectively with business owners and managers of Japanese companies, including by listening attentively, understanding context and reactions, exercising appropriate restraint, and providing suitable advice. Applicant understands the responsibilities and ethical standards required when working with a public organization, including the prohibition of improper influence or conflicts of interest.

Applicant understands the importance of appropriately handling confidential information, personal data, intellectual property rights (including copyrights), and compliance matters, and Applicant is able to act accordingly.

17.   Applicant understands the objectives, purpose, and significance of this project, is highly motivated to participate, and is able to work cooperatively with JETRO and other economic and business organizations involved in the project.
