[Event Report] Making Tokyo the Most Business-Friendly City in the World

APRIL 13, 2016, NEW YORK, NY – On Wednesday, the Japan External Trade Organization and the Japan Society co-hosted a business seminar highlighting Tokyo’s business-friendly policies for foreign companies seeking to expand into the Japan market.
The sold-out event saw over 270 people attend to hear The Honorable Yoichi Masuzoe, Governor of Tokyo, discuss Tokyo’s push towards an internationally competitive business environment. In his presentation, Mr. Masuzoe detailed the attractiveness of Tokyo; he especially emphasized the new business opportunities resulting from the approaching Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics Games, which are expected to bring a record-breaking influx of foreign and domestic tourists to the city.
