JETRO is Bringing 29 Innovative Japanese Startups to CES 2020

Want to experience Japan's most innovative startups of the last year?

Explore them all at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2020) in Las Vegas!


JETRO is coordinating the J-Startup Japan Innovation Showcase at this year's Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. Twenty-nine innovative technology companies from Japan will be featured at the showcase for CES, taking place from January 7-10, 2020, at Eureka Park, Sands Expo, Level 1, Hall G at Booth #52702.


JETRO's J-Startup Program, which mentors and provides the necessary resources for Japanese startups to succeed in the global market, is also helping with the showcase. Companies associated with the program have J-Startup next to their names. 


Thirteen Japanese startups will be revealed at CES Unveiled on January 5, 2020 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Shorelines Exhibit Hall. This event attracts over 1,500 media sources and features the Best of Innovation Award Nominees. These companies have "CES Unveiled" next to their names.

Aeronext Inc. CES Unveiled

Aeronext, a drone architecture research lab, develops Flying Robots and Air Mobility products by using its center-of-gravity control technology. It employs its technology to advance the balance and flight stability of drone technology.

FPV ROBOTICS INC.  CES Unveiled

FPV ROBOTICS INC., focuses on research and development, manufacturing, and sales of aircraft and drones. They build and integrate platforms and systems for commercial drones to fly safely.

Gatebox Inc.  CES Unveiled

Gatebox created the "Holographic AI Partner" to provide communication services for both individuals and retail services, such as hotel concierges. It displays a holographic 3D character that can respond in real time to customers' needs.

Glafit Inc.  CES Unveiled
Glafit is developing advanced technology for automobiles and motocycles with AI technology. Their technology provides “skiing-like” ride experiences with smooth speed acceleration equipment and one-touch foldable features.

GROOVE X, Inc.  CES Unveiled  J-Startup

GROOVE X wants to make people's busy lives less stressful with robotic companions. Their upcoming "LOVOT" robot is designed to be a comforting companion to people, and make them feel happier and more fulfilled. It is AI-operated, and highly innovative for the robotics industry. 



Idein

Idein Inc.  CES Unveiled  J-Startup

Idein connects people, physical objects, and the internet by developing high-speed sensing tools that can be used on ordinary technological devices. They are using computational sensing and data analysis techniques to accomplish their goals.

Langualess Ltd. CES Unveiled

Langualess is developing the "INUPATHY" device to help owners understand their dogs' feelings better. The INUPATHY device can display dogs' emotions and detect their physical health through color displays and heart rate variability functions.  

 



Life is Tech USA, Inc.  CES Unveiled  J-Startup

Life is Tech is an educational company that tutors Japanese youth about advanced programming skills across different platforms, including iPhone apps and video games. Despite being in its growth phase, it is the largest tutoring service of its kind in Japan, with over 13,000 participants. The startup partners with popular companies including Disney and Square Enix.

mui Lab, Inc.  CES Unveiled

mui Lab designs beautiful smart home appliances with the goal of preserving nature in mind. Their products are made of wooden materials that can control and monitor households' termperatures, times, weather information, voicemails, and even phyisical messages. Their products are AI-operated and user-friendly.

Shiftall, Inc.  CES Unveiled

Shiftall focuses on creating advanced IoT products to benefit the manufacturing industries. Their agile mass-production system can launch IoT products in about 10 months by planning, designing, and developing hardware and software items in-house.

World Matcha Inc.  CES Unveiled

World Matcha created the "Matcha Maker" device to easily provide the authentic flavor of matcha for the modern palate. The Matcha Maker grinds matcha leaves into a fine powder and then blends it with water to produce modern drinks like fresh matcha expressos or matcha lattes.

Digitalattendant Co., Ltd.

Digitalattendant created the AI-based "Dynaglass" cane to provide the visually impaired with 3D information through scene recognition technology. People with disabilities can more safely cross roads by relying on the sounds of surrounding footsteps and car engines with the Dynaglass.

FIRST ASCENT INC.

FIRST ASCENT developed the "CryAnalyzer Auto" device to monitor the needs of a baby through their crying. It detects the baby's crys, analyzes it, and notifies the parent via a smartphone app about the baby's emotions and physical conditions.

Freecle is developing the world's first audio-supporting devices, the "αble aid" series, that shuts out up to 99% of surrounding noises even within limited and confined spaces.



FutuRocket

FutuRocket Co.

FutuRocket focuses on upgrading past technolgies to make them practical in the modern digital age. Specifically, their "Hackfon" device connects with analog phones, and enables them to run smart phone settings.

HoloAsh, Inc.

HoloAsh assists people with ADHD by developing virtual companions through holographic technology. They believe their patient holographic interfaces can help people with ADHD better focus on conversational skills and understanding positive human emotions.

IMUZAK is a visual effects company that specializes in optical design and ultra-fine processing technology that does not cause eye fatigue. They’re currently developing gaming machines with advanced 3D technology.

Kotozna, Inc.  J-Startup

Kotozna creates apps that provides auto-translated, remote, and real-time text and voice-to-text messaging. This includes Kotozna Chat, a real-time translation service for smartphones covering 104 languages, and Kotozna Chat Hotel Solutions, a communication system with real-time translation developed for hotels to reduce expenditure and enhance guest experience.

Teijin engineered smart textiles to analyze human vital and motion data. They can perform data acquisition methods and short time analyses that are typically difficult to obtain.

Yume Cloud specializes in sensor and wireless technologies to enhance people's entertainment. Their "GLOW" entertainment system uses various sensors to detect physical motions and sounds, which create original and playful audio and visual effects.

Z-Works is an IoT cloud platform company that provides smart health care solutions for care workers, elderly, and their families.

WHILL's "Personal Electric Vehicles" are transforming antiquated power wheelchair and scooter experiences into empowering new devices that are changing people's perceptions of personal mobility,

Yukai Engineering  CES Unveiled

Yukai Engineering specializes in the development of personal robots that can enhance the quality of daily life. Their "Qoobo" is a robotic pillow with a tail intended to provide a sense of comfort to users.
