EVENT OVERVIEW:

This seminar will discuss the basics of U.S. antitrust law, as well as how to implement an effective compliance program for management, sales, and other personnel who regularly interact with customers, suppliers, and-- more importantly-- competitors or potential competitors.

The discussion will also cover situational problems, including:

  • How do you legally deal with competitors at industry association meetings or trade shows?
  • What if your customer is also a competitor?
  • What if youare in a joint-venture or other business relationship with a competitor?
  • What if you are asked to exchange business or market information with a competitor?

The above are high risk situations that need to be managed. In addition to establishing a training program for company personnel who may face such legal situations, this seminar will also expel common antitrust myths, including the false assumption that the U.S. government will not prosecture based on actions that take place in Japan or other international locaations, or that it only focuses on large companies with high market shares.

Please join us on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Prairie Center of Arts Lecture Hall in Shaumburg, IL to learn more about how to keep your company safe from antitrust law violations. The seminar begins promptly at 1:30 p.m. and will run until 4:00 p.m.
