The COVID-19 pandemic is causing massive disruptions to economies, businesses, and markets across the world. JETRO will therefore hold a series of webinars featuring the economic impacts of COVID-19 on the various sectors and industries of Japan. Join our webinars to stay informed about the current situation in Japan.
The focus of this first webinar will be on the status of Japan's AI industry from both before and during the pandemic, and how the current crisis may impact its future. There will also be a brief discussion on how the general economy of Japan is being affected.

Nagasaki Yuta, Invest Japan Promotion Division at JETRO
Nagasaki Yuta is a researcher of the Invest Japan Department at JETRO. His research focuses on inward foreign direct investment to Japan and covers a wide range of related topics including the business environment and business operations of foreign-affiliated companies in the country.
Nagata Tatsuya, AI Advisor at JETRO
Nagata Tatsuya is the COO of Navier Inc., an AI startup developing cutting-edge image processing solutions based on deep learning. He oversees Navier’s strategy planning, finance, and business development. He has been an AI Business Advisor of JETRO since 2019. Previously, he led investments in early-stage AI startups as an investment professional of DEEPCORE Inc., SoftBank’s VC arm specializing in AI. He earned a bachelor’s degree of science in mathematics from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from INSEAD.
