2024 Survey Report on Japan-based Companies Operating in California

JETRO San Francisco and JETRO Los Angeles have just released a new report on the results of the 17th edition of their biennial survey of Japanese companies operating in California. This survey has been conducted since 1992. It was jointly conducted by the Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco, Consulate General of Japan in Los Angeles, the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Northern California (JCCNC), and the Japan Business Association of Southern California (JBA) between January and February 2024.

In this survey, 379 companies responded to questions regarding the industry of their parent company, company size, operating profit status, number of employees, salary levels, employee benefits, future business plans, and recruitment activities. A graphical analysis has been conducted for the entire state of California, including both Northern and Southern California.
