Shire Poised to Capture Opportunities in the Japanese Pharmaceutical Market

Shire Plc (Shire), a biopharmaceutical company, opened its Japan office in February 2013 in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Shire has been providing treatments in Neuroscience, Rare Disease, Gastrointestinal, Internal Medicine, and Regenerative Medicine since its founding in 1986.

In September 2013, Steven Engen, Vice President and Representative Director of Shire Japan, shared his observation on the Japanese market with JETRO, expressing his opinions of how recent trends in the Japanese biopharmaceutical could benefit Shire's business.

SWITCH Bulb Company Utilizes the IBSC Services and Establishes an Office in Japan

LED lighting systems manufacturer, SWITCH Bulb Company, establishes LLC in Kanagawa.

In June 2013, SWITCH Bulb Company, Inc. establishes a limited liability company (LLC), SWITCH Lighting Japan in the city of Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture.

SWITCH employs its own original liquid cooling system technology, LQD Cooling System, for its LED electrical bulbs, realizing long life and strong luminosity. The company is gathering attention from a wide range of fields, receiving numerous science awards including the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show Innovation Award.
