Japan Hydrogen Forum (JH2F) approved three companies to join the forum including Itochu International Inc., AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. and Asahi Kasei Corporation.

 JH2F welcomes Japan-affiliated companies that are currently engaged in hydrogen-related businesses in the US or have specific business plans in the United States to join the forum.

<About the Japan Hydrogen Forum>

JH2F was initially formed by 15 companies operating hydrogen-related businesses in the United States to contribute to the goal of decarbonization in the United States. Currently, JF2F has five separate committees including Hydrogen Production, Land Transportation, Port Decarbonization, Power Generation/Heat, and Finance. In addition, the Japanese government, and governmental agencies (JETRO, NEDO, JOGMEC, NEXI) are supporting its activities.

Itochu International Inc.】                                           

Itochu International Inc. has been officially approved to join the Japan Hydrogen Forum (JH2F) at its Steering committee meeting on December 7th, 2022. The company will participate in the Hydrogen Production committee of JH2F.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc.                                             

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. has been officially approved to join the Japan Hydrogen Forum (JH2F) at its steering committee meeting on April 26th, 2023. The company will participate in the Hydrogen Production, Land Transportation and Power Generation/Heat committees of JH2F.

Asahi Kasei Corporation                                                       

Asahi Kasei Corporation has been officially approved to join the Japan Hydrogen Forum (JH2F) at its steering committee meeting on April 26th, 2023. The company will participate in the Hydrogen Production committee of JH2F.   

▼ About Asahi Kasei Corporation

Asahi Kasei Corporation is promoting the development of hydrogen-related business focused on alkaline water electrolysis systems for hydrogen production, utilizing its knowledge and experience in the field of chlor-alkali electrolysis. As part of a NEDO project(1), Asahi Kasei installed a 10MW-class large-scale alkaline water electrolysis system at the Fukushima Hydrogen Energy Research Field (FH2R), and has been conducting various tests since March 2020. Based on these technological achievements, Asahi Kasei looks forward to contributing to a hydrogen society in the United States by supplying large-scale alkaline water electrolysis systems.
