"MENA Low Carbon Hydrogen Latest Trends" Webinar Vol. 4
Mar 17, 2025
Clean electricity generated from renewable energy and nuclear power, as well as next-generation fuels like hydrogen, are essential for enhancing industrial competitiveness while mitigating global warming by reducing CO2 emissions from manufacturing processes such as steel and chemicals.
In the MENA region, "Low Carbon Hydrogen" is attracting significant attention towards achieving a decarbonized society. Blue hydrogen, which combines abundant hydrocarbon resources with CCUS, and green hydrogen, backed by rich renewable energy, are expected to develop as next-generation fuels to replace oil and natural gas in the MENA region.
In 2024, the UAE introduced the Middle East's first corporate GHG emissions reporting system, and in Morocco, support measures have been concretized with new projects being adopted, indicating steady progress in establishing systems to materialize business opportunities and an increase in investment prospects.
JETRO Dubai is going to hold "MENA Low Carbon Hydrogen Latest Trends" Webinar with Qamar Energy, reporting on the trends of hydrogen production and related value chain projects in the MENA region, as well as the current state of business and its potential based on the latest research findings.
