JETRO published an annual Global Trade and Investment Report with ther part related to Hungary.

Summary of the Hungarian part

Exports from Hungary to Japan in 2014, totalled EUR 528 million, an increase of year-on-year 17.8%, imports totalled EUR 918 million, a decrease of 1.6%, trade deficit with Japan was EUR 390 million from the previous year of EUR 485 million to a decreased 19.6%. Major export automobile 26.7% increase in such items of Mercedes and Suzuki, also meat imports Hungary producing fresh pork has become 64.5% increase was lifted in November 14 in Japan. On the other hand, the imports into Hungary, one of the major items power generation equipment for automobiles rose by 32.3%, the car became a 7.4% increase. According to the survey of JETRO Budapest, number of Japanese companies was 147 (as of June 2014), out of which there were 46 companies the manufacturing industry. Companies in the manufacturing industry have announced one after another additional investment and new expansion plans.
