What is J-Bridge?
J-Bridge is a business platform launched in 2021 to facilitate collaboration between Japanese and overseas companies. In specific, through this program JETRO aims to open opportunities for foreign startups and companies to meet Japanese companies.
*Please note that the purpose of J-Bridge is to encourage collaboration, not to expand sales channels.

J-Bridge Members
We support our members in coorperation with J-Bridge partners and other related parties, as well as JETRO offices in Japan and overseas. Currently we have more than 2962 members from 1904 companies are registered (as of September 2025) from various industries ranging from ICT to trading, chemicals, finance and manufacturing.
Promising Overseas Companies
You can collect company information on and apply for meet-ups with 1532 promising start-ups around the world and foreign affiliated companies in Japan, carefully selected by JETRO (as of September 2025). The fields of companies are diverse, including Iot, Healthcare, fintech, and mobility.
The process
- Jetro will create an online business summary profile for registered overseas startups and companies and provide this information to "J-Bridge Members" (Japanese companies).
- Overseas startups and companies that JETRO supports can acces our "Japanese Partner Finder" platform which contains information on Japanese companies interested in collaboration. You can search for Japanese companies and send meeting requests through the platform.
- Overseas startups and companies will be provided with information about various JETRO online events to promot digital transformation, carbon neutrality, and open innovation, including opportunities to attend smeinars/business pitches.
- For startups with unique technologies and/or solutions, JETRO will reach out and organise business meetings with J-Bridge Members.
