Japanese Small Business Promotion

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are considered as a primary source of development for the Thai and Japanese economies. Therefore, the Japan Small and Medium Enterprise Corporation (JASMEC) places its representative office in JETRO Bangkok to provide information services to Japanese SMEs in Thailand as well as information on investment environment for SMEs related agencies in Japan. It also organize seminars for Japanese SMEs as well as for local policy makers in charge of SMEs in order to provide knowledge and expertise that help promote the growth of SMEs in Thailand and arranges joint-meeting with the Small Business Investment Company’s Club (SBIC). Moreover, it holds training and management seminars for Thai managers who work with Japanese SMEs. It offers individual advisory service for Japanese SMEs in Thailand by international business advisors. Importantly, it helps to facilitate Japanese SMEs which are interested in operating business in Thailand by conducting surveys and supplying information on feasibility studies of proposed projects.
