Tokushima prefecture is Japan's biggest domestic producer of the indigo plant. Because of this, the area is home to skilled craftsmen who have specialized in Indigo-Dyed for generations.By developing a unique past-like substance from the traditionally-produced indigo and treating it as a pigment rather than a dye, we established a technology that can be used as a paint or spray, and applied it to designs that make use of grain as part of construction materials, interiors, or small objects. These products exhibit a rich blue that still allows the natural surface grain of the wood to be visible, unlike painted wood. Due to the nature of the process, each piece is unique in terms of the depth of color achieved. As a reason for that, we would like to hand over our Japan Blue and another local valuable resource to the next generation.Indigo Dyed Cedar WoodCoaster 2setIndigo Cedar wood ChopsticksPair set with Tung boxAOLA LLC https://aola.thebase.in/173WEB@aola.blue.missionInstagramTOKUSHIMAmagewappa Japanese lantern magewappa bento boxWith the themes of simplicity, organic, and sustainability, we produce and sell mainly bent-wood lunchboxes in Kamiyama-cho, Tokushima Prefecture.Based on traditional Japanese woodworking techniques, we use only natural materials in our production. We also emphasize the importance of sustainability in our material procurement and production methods.Although we cannot produce a large number of products, we hope to deliver our products to stores and customers who share the above philosophy. In Japan, we sell a limited number of products on an irregular basis, but they are always sold out immediately. In the future, we are working on developing products other than bento boxes to make them more readily available to overseas customers. We believe that our products will help to promote mutual understanding between Japan and other countries by conveying the relationship between Japanese people and wooden utensils and how they relate to nature.Studio Kurara174 TOKUSHIMAhttps://magewappa-bento.comWEB@n_kondoInstagramWe have been manufacturing cotton fabrics since 1897.We have an integrated production system from weaving to dyeing and finishing. We also manufacture products that are carefully hand-dyed by veteran craftsmen using natural \Nagao Orifu General Partnership175natural indigo dyehandmade towel scarf awa shijira-ori furoshiki (large)TOKUSHIMAhttps://awa-shijira.comWEB@nagaoawashijiraInstagramWood sliced as thin as paper is called Tsukiita.Tsukiita is widely used as amaterial for various wooden products such as furniture and fittings in ourdaily lives. Thanks to the support of many people, Mori Kogei has been specializing inwoodworking in Tokushima, a woodworking town on the right side of Shikoku, for about 70 years.Trees grown in various environments have their own character and the grainof the wood is often an art of nature.
