Japanese Delegation: Reverse Pitch and Networking Event

At the beginning of September, JETRO led a Japanese delegation of senior representatives from 25 leading companies on a tour of the Israeli high-tech and startup ecosystem. TV Tokyo and NHK (both leading broadcasting networks in Japan) were in attendance, documenting the growing relationship between Israel and Japan. One of the most fruitful parts of the week was a business event held at the Pearl-Cohen Law offices in Tel Aviv. This event was split into two parts:

Part one of the event was a smaller, private event during which nine members of our delegation "reverse-pitched" their current business challenges and ideas with the aim of finding Israeli collaborators and/or solutions. The audience was made up of carefully selected Israeli companies. We then provided space and time for each company that pitched to meet with interested Israeli companies in order to encourage communication and foster important connections.

The Part two of the evening was a larger networking event, which the Designated Japanese Ambassador to Israel, H.E. Koichi Aiboshi gave opening remarks. This event provided an opportunity for both Japanese and Israeli companies to meet and network freely.
