Toward Car-Lite Society - Promoting Multi-Modal Trip with Public Transport

Message from Leadership

President Director PT JakLingko Indonesia

To establish a sustainable and reliable public transportation system, it is crucial to address not only the infrastructure but also the fare system. By implementing an integrated public transport fare system and policy, JakLingko aims to offer passengers an efficient fare scheme that caters to their daily commuting needs. Furthermore, through the ongoing development of this integrated fare system and leveraging the data analytics expertise of Nippon Koei, our stakeholders can maximize the benefits derived from this policy for the overall improvement of public transport solutions

Nippon Koei’s Challenge

Challenges The "JakLingko Project," implemented as a Public-Private Partnership, aims to address traffic congestion and reduce the environmental impact in the Jakarta metropolitan area through the integration of public transport fares and the curation of operational data. To achieve the vision of a Car-Lite Society, it is essential to develop practical and efficient services and solutions that enhance public transport convenience while encouraging a shift in people's behavior from car dependency to regular public transport usage.
Collaboration Needs The JakLingko App enables users to seamlessly plan, book, and pay for multi-modal trips within the city. To encourage a higher adoption rate of both public transport and the app itself, we are actively seeking digital content or solutions that align with the JakLingko service and content available in the app. This compatibility will not only attract more public transport users but also increase the number of app users, providing them with a comprehensive and integrated experience.
Opportunity Your innovative service and solution are intended to be introduced to the following target market:
  • A metropolitan area with a population of approximately 30 million.
  • An average of 11 million public transport transactions per month.
  • Around 4,000 monthly active users of the mobile application.
  • A multi-modal public transport network comprising buses, minibusses, MRT, LRT, and Commuter Trains.
Now, let's discuss the potential for a strategic partnership with Nippon Koei in the global market.
Assets/Support We offer an environment that facilitates seamless communication between SU and the integrated payment platform for public transport, which is operated under the JakLingko Project, as well as with the JakLingko App. If required, we can provide access to Nippon Koei's data analytics platform and leverage mobility big data from public transport transactions and app usage. Additionally, we extend communication support to other stakeholders, including transport operators and local governments.
