About JETRO Istanbul

    Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is an affiliate of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of  Japan. Headquartered in Tokyo, JETRO was founded in 1958. Our JETRO office in Istanbul has been operating since 1963.

 

　Our activities mainly include organizations that bring Japanese and Turkish companies together, information support for Japanese companies considering investment in Turkey, support for potential Turkish partners for Japanese companies considering to expand to Türkiye as well as support for innovative Turkish companies/startups considering to establish a business base in Japan or willing to collaborate with Japanese companies on their open innovation projects.

 

　In addition, our mission in Türkiye has extended to also include encouraging collaboration between Japanese and Turkish companies for business development in the neighbouring regions such as the Caucasus, Central Asia and Africa as well as collaboration in the form of co-production or remake in content business such as dramas and films.
