To produce our cod liver cans the fish was caught exclusively by the long-line method in Iceland's coastal waters and only quantities that allow it to be processing onshore at the quickest possible rate.

Icelandic waters are not polluted due to the ocean's currents and Iceland's remoteness from industrial countries.
Scientific research shows that Icelandic fish is virtually free from pollution, and therefore it is extremely wholesome and nutritious.

*The advantages of our cod liver
Heavy metals and dioxins produce virtually no effect on Icelandic seafood due to its favourable environment.
A small example is this: according to EU standards the volume of dioxins in fish should be no more than 4 picograms per 1 gram (1 picogram = one trillionth of a gram).
However, Icelandic seafood has only 0.0001 of the permitted amount.

To produce our the fish is caught exclusively by the long line method which makes the liver firmer in texture and more pink in colour.
