PROCEDURE FOR TRANSACTION/PAYMENT UNDER THE COLLATERAL MANAGEMENT ARRANGEMENT

We are proposing 2 documents to support the transaction.
These include the following:

1. Collateral Management Agreement(CMA)
2. Corporate Guarantee

Under the Collateral Management Agreement (CMA), the goods shall be delivered into a Bonded Warehouse selected by the Collateral Manager i.e. SGS, Cotecna or any local Collateral Managers in Nigeria or Ghana. The Collateral Manager shall be appointed by the Supplier and the Buyer. The selected warehouse will be leased to the Collateral Manager.

PROCEDURE FOR THE TRANSACTION;

1. The goods shall be collaterised under a Collateral Management Agreement between Procurement Agency, Supplier, Collateral Managers and the designated Bank
2. GNPA shall issue a Promissory Note /Corporate Guarantee to cover the value of the consignment
3. A Supporting Letter from our sector Ministry, Trade & Industry shall also be provided
4. Payment shall be arranged as follows:
5. 10%-20% on arrival of the consignment at the Port of Tema, and the balance of 90%-80% spread over 90 days from the date of arrival
6. An Escrow Account shall be opened at the designated Bank and the bank shall transfer the sales proceeds (monies) lodged into it to the Supplier periodically or as agreed by the Supplier.
