Information on the Seminar “Global Initiatives of the JPO and IP Strategies of Companies” at the IP WEEK @ SG 2016
Event Details
The Japan Patent Office (JPO) and the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) will hold a seminar titled “Global Initiatives of the JPO and IP Strategies of Companies” as part of the IP WEEK @ SG 2016 to be held in Singapore. The theme of the seminar is IP strategy, in particular acquisition and utilization of rights. When companies expand their business overseas, it has become more important to appropriately acquire and utilize IP rights in various countries. At the seminar, the JPO will introduce its global initiatives and Japanese companies will share their IP strategies based on acquisition and utilization of rights with the participants. A panel discussion on the future direction of how companies address acquisition/utilization of IP rights will also be conducted.
