WHAT IS THE INVITATION PROGRAMME?
The Invitation Programme is designed to foster multilateral trade, in particular Japanese SMEs to reach the global marketplace with their products and services. This presents a powerful opportunity for individuals in New Zealand to participate and gain personal connections in their industry to help facilitate trade relationships.
Every year JETRO participates in a number of exhibitions from a variety of different industries, by sending individuals to Japan to meet, greet and connect with Japanese SMEs. If you are selected, you will gain invaluable knowledge of Japanese SMEs and could gain full financial assistance to travel to and from Japan, accommodation and language support.

JETRO Invitation Program to RISCON Expo 2013 (October 1 - 5, 2013)
JETRO will invite overseas buyers to the RISCON Expo 2013 held in Tokyo. The Expo will focus on businesses which would like to trade in safety, security, risk management, crisis management technology with Japan. After attending the Expo, you will be invited to a business-matching event held in Tokyo Japan.

JETRO Invitation Program to Business Meetings in Okinawa, Kumamoto, and Shimonoseki (November 13 - 23, 2013)
JETRO will invite overseas food buyers to the Okinawa Food Fair 2013 and Kumamoto Food Expo. The Expo will focus on businesses which would like to trade in all fresh and processed food products with Japan. After attending the two food Expos, you will be invited to a business-matching event held in Shimonoseki Japan.

JETRO Invitation Program to Japan International Seafood and Technology Expo (August 21 - 23, 2013) & Business Meetings in Nagasaki (August 24-28)
JETRO will invite overseas food buyers to the Japan International Seafood and Technology Expo in Tokyo. The Expo will focus on businesses which would like to trade fresh and processed seafood products with Japan. The Expo will expect more than 30,000 guests with over 1000 display booths specialising in the Fisheries industry of Japan. Following the Seafood Show, you will be invited to a business-matching event held in Nagasaki Japan.

JETRO will invite overseas food buyers to FoodEx 2013. This is held for food and beverage firms from developing economies interested in introducing their products to the Japanese market. Exhibitors in JETRO Zone can benefit from reduced participation fees, consultation with Japanese market experts as well as other support and services.

JETRO Invitation Program to M-Tech Osaka 2012 (October 3 - 5, 2012)
JETRO will invite overseas corporations to the 15th Mechanical Components & Materials Technology Expo Osaka (M-Tech Osaka 2012) at INTEX OSAKA, one of the biggest trade shows for the mechanical parts industry in Japan. Osaka is known as Asia’s largest mechanical parts manufacturing region. This event is expected to attract many exhibitors, including leading Japanese parts manufacturers and service providers. Following M-Tech Osaka 2012, business-matching events will be held in Higashi-Osaka, one of the largest clusters in Japan, with highly advanced technologies.

JETRO invites overseas food buyers to the event, which will be attended by Japanese producers of agricultural and marine food products and other foodstuff, representatives from food and trading companies, and other related organizations.

During the event, JETRO will organize business meetings between producers and buyers, a reception where exhibited foodstuff will be served and optional tours for invited buyers to visit a factory of food-related and processing company.
