Global Open Innovation Program 2023
Great Opportunity to Meet with Japanese Partners
in Healthcare and Digital Fields
1.What is Global Open Innovation Program 2023?
JETRO Global Open Innovation Program 2023(GOI2023)is a program to support foreign companies in the healthcare and digital field that have a strong intention to invest in Japan, on the one hand, and local governments in Japan that want to draw investment into their communities, on the other. In addition, this program is open to foreign companies that wish not only to establish a base but also to network and do business together with Japanese academia and companies with advanced technologies.
JETRO will provide business matching support for both parties. This support will involve setting up online business meetings for continuous discussions that would allow foreign companies to take the first step into launching their businesses in regional communities in Japan and collaborating with potential partners.
2. What you can receive
➢An opportunity to showcase your pitch deck to Japanese companies, academia, and research institutions
➢One-on-one business matching opportunities with your potential partners in Japan
➢JETRO’s support for setting and holding meetings (interpreter available upon request)
3.Achievements of last fiscal year’s program
➢Overseas companies met with 96 Japanese companies, 21 academic institutions, and 7 municipalities.
➢Over 270 meetings were held, and post-meeting discussions are continuing toward NDAs, joint research, and more.
➢Comments from participants
