MOU signed with Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency
JETRO and Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (Polska Agencja Informacji i Inwestycji Zagranicznych S.A.: PAIiIZ) concluded a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen their partnership aiming at facilitating trade and investment between Japan and Poland. PAIiIZ promotes inward foreign direct investment and support the overseas expansion of Polish companies. Through the agreement, JETRO hopes to attract Polish firms to Japan; facilitate Japanese firms, particularly SMEs, in entering the Polish market; and encourage cooperation between companies of the two countries.
The MOU was exchanged between PAIiIZ's President Slawomir Majman and JETRO's President Satoshi Miyamoto in the presence of Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Janusz Piechociński, who was on a trip to Japan, and Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Toshimitsu Motegi at the ministry on October 25.
The parties agreed to:
- Share information such as companies and industries in which each have an interest
- Cooperate in organizing investment seminars and attracting investment activities
- Support business talk activities aiming at facilitating mutual trade
- Cooperate in other activities agreed on
