The AIU insurance company’s branch office in Toyama handles telephone inquiries from affiliated insurance agencies and customers; operations at this branch has grown steadily. One factor that brought success to AIU in Toyama is the highly motivated, diligent, and persistent local workers who are willing to learn. Specifically, they make enthusiastic efforts to learn the complex, specialized details of AIU insurance and other job knowledge. Already, many of the locally hired Toyama staff have been promoted to managerial and specialist positions. Thanks to the operational results that AIU Toyama has achieved, it was decided in FY2007 that a portion of the contract management duties which had been carried out by the AIU headquarters should be delegated to a center in Toyama. This center has become the second largest operation base outside of Tokyo with its employee base expanded to over 300.
