Located in the eastern part of Shikoku, Tokusima Prefecture is connected to Kansai area by Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Expressway. It is also accessible to a 24-hour operating international hub airport, Kansai International Airport, by expressway bus in 2 hours 45 minutes.
All areas of the prefecture are provided with one of the fastest Internet environments in the country, as the CATV network is spread across the prefecture at the top-level in Japan.

Land

・Because of the direct connection of the Honshu-Shikoku Bridge Expressway and Tokushiima Expressway, it is possible to travel from Tokushima City to Osaka City in approximately two hours and to Kobe City in one hour and thirty minutes by car.
・The Shikoku-Odan Expressway is also gradually being extended from the Tokushima Interchange to the southern part of the prefecture.

Air

  • From Tokushima to Tokyo, there are eleven round-trip services per day (travel time is approximately one hour and ten minutes).
  • From Tokushima to Fukuoka, there is one round-trip service per day (travel time is approximately one hour).

Sea

Tokushima Komatsushima Port provides liner service to South Korea, Busan (three times a week), from which access is possible to China and third countries, and is near Kobe Port, one of the largest ports in Japan.
