Attractive features

The prefecture is characterized by its cluster of primary materials manufacturing industries. In recent years the cluster is witnessing the increased participation of companies from the telecommunications equipment, electronic component, general machinery and other processing and assembly sectors. The prefecture has various appealing points yet to be tapped including its rich water resources, electricity expenses subsidy system (40% of expenses up to 100% for 8 years), and its comparatively low land prices. Digital contents and BPO-related companies are starting to accumulate in the prefecture in recent years, exemplified principally by the location of major data centers.
