Kansai International Airport is an international hub airport offering a large number of direct flights overseas. Access from Sakai to the airport takes approximately 30 minutes by train and 20 minutes by car, making it the nearest government-designated city for visitors from overseas. The City also has easy access to major expressway networks that lead to major cities all over Japan. It is located in the center of a huge consumer market; 8 million in Osaka Prefecture and 20 million in the Kansai region, providing an extremely convenient environment for the speedy exchange of people, goods and information.

The expressway network connecting Sakai to Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe and other markets is almost perfect. In addition, the planned completion of the Hanshin Expressway Yamatogawa Line in FY 2019 is expected to further improve the convenience of transportation toward Nagoya.
