Located roughly at Japan's midpoint, Hyogo Prefecture has been developing as a leader of the Kansai region, Japan's second economic zone, together with Osaka. Having Kobe Port and Kansai International Airport, gateways to overseas and Osaka International Airport and Kobe Airport, infrastructure for domestic travels and distribution as its foundation, Hyogo continues to develop as a top-class economy, and has well-established facilities to expand its global businesses efficiently.

Land
Located at Japan's midpoint, an expressway with the largest extended network: which spreads in the north, south, east and west on the mainland, has been developed. As it provides easy access to major cities in Japan by road, companies located in Hyogo can minimize their domestic distribution cost.

Air
50 mins to Kansai International Airport, a major airport of the region. Its convenience for domestic travel and distribution is improving tremendously with Kobe Airport which opened in February 2006 in addition to the existing Osaka International Airport.

Sea
Kobe Port is one of the world's international ports. Regular liners that connect the port to more than 130 countries and areas in the world call at the port. Major shipping companies in the world connect Kobe Port to the ports across the world, and connect Japan to the ports in the world in the shortest lead time. Kobe Port is looking to solidify its position as Asia's “mother port”.
Railway
The Shinkansen, one of the world's fastest bullet trains, runs east-to-west through Hyogo Prefecture and links Kobe and Tokyo in 170 minutes. The prefecture also has a large network of railway companies, such as JR, Hankyu, Hanshin, Sanyo, Kobe Electric railways and the Kobe municipal subway. These transportation means enable workers to commute from Kobe to Kyoto or Osaka.
