Hiroshima City is blessed with a warm climate with an annual average temperature at 16.2 degrees. It is gifted with rich natural environment surrounded by the mountains of the Chugoku region and with the calm Seto Inland Sea.
It has a high profile as an International City of Peace and Culture, and in 2015, it recorded approximately 1,030,000 tourists from overseas. Information on emergency medical services/disaster prevention, daily living, and necessary procedures for day-to-day life has been compiled in the “Living Guide for Foreigners,” and is available in 6 languages. The counseling service for foreigners is provided in 3 different languages, making it easy for them to live in Hiroshima.
Municipal elementary and junior high schools give lessons in Japanese. Hiroshima International School gives lessons in English, where students from approx.. 10 nations are enrolled
