The company offers software and hardware products that enable network service providers to see, control, and secure all traffic on their networks. This makes it possible to optimize network performance and prevent cyber threats such as malware (Note 1) and DDoS (Note 2) attacks that could otherwise disrupt the networks and affect customer experience.

The company's technology is innovative in that it uses AI to identify different types of encrypted traffic and classify each according to priority. Furthermore, the company's technology allows network service providers to offer security to their customers from the network side, eliminating the need for customers to install network security software and hardware themselves. By using the company's solutions, Japanese companies can improve their productivity and telecom providers can prevent cyberattacks from impacting their customers.

The company established Allot Communications Japan Co., Ltd. in December 2004. In May 2019, the company announced that it would provide security solutions to Rakuten Mobile's communication network in Japan. In October 2020, Toyo Corporation announced that it would become a distributor for the company. In February 2021, a Japanese network service provider announced that it would switch from its existing solution to Allot's solution.

As the company expanded its business in Japan, JETRO's Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided temporary offices and conference rooms, and information on serviced offices.
