VectorBuilder Inc is a US company that provides an innovative online platform for tailor-made orders of customized vectors* and related molecular biological services. The online platform led to fast turnaround time and significant cost savings.

* Vector is a vessel to deliver artificial modified Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) to cells or genome.

Since its 2015 foundation, hundreds of thousands of vectors produced so far by VectorBuilder Inc are used by more than 1,000 pharmaceutical companies, university research laboratories, and research institutes.
They have contributed to various research projects, such as stem cell research, development of gene therapies, cancer and other diseases researches and therapy developments. VectorBuilder Inc has branches in Germany and China for European and Asian markets, respectively. To further expansion to global market, VectorBuilder Inc established a subsidiary in Yokohama in June, 2019.

To assist with the establishment of the company’s base in Japan, the JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided temporary office space and consultation on registration, tax and labor matters. It also introduced an administrative scrivener, tax accountant, certified social insurance labor consultant, real estate agency and banks.
